Summer Camp 2009

Stepanova Ballet Academy offers a comprehensive summer program designed to give students the opportunity to improve their technique, gain strength and broaden their abilities. Under the personal guidance of Artistic Director Tatiana Stepanova and the outstanding faculty, dancers will learn what it takes to excel though this classical yet innovative program.

The summer experience will give students a deeper understanding of ballet technique, and how to utilize it more effectively. A relentless attention to detail and the extremely experienced faculty will ensure that each student is able to maximize their potential, make advances in their technique and see a difference in their abilities. All classes are carefully graded both for age and technical level and each student is given the individual attention necessary for their progress.

Curriculum includes Ballet, Pointe, Character dance, Stretch, Jazz, Modern, and Repertoire. Aside from dance students will also participate in Art classes, outdoor activities, and much more.

July 6 through July 31

Full day: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Ages 8 to 13)

Half day: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Ages 5 to 7)

Artistic Director

tatiana stepanova welcomes you...

Tatiana Stepanova, Artistic Director, has a long standing reputation for excellence, as Prima Ballerina, People's Artist of the Ukraine. She received her training at the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, rising to Prima Ballerina with the Odessa State Ballet Company. She performed leading roles in the entire classical repertoire, as well as, an extensive collection of modern roles.

Tatiana, Master Teacher and Choreographer, has taught in numerous Universities and Colleges throughout the United States and Canada. It is with this wealth of knowledge that she made a reputation for herself in North America as a gifted teacher and inspirational motivator to students, many of whom have gone on to professional programs.

Mme. Stepanova has created such unique Ballet Masterpieces as:

  • Thumbalina of the 21st Century
  • Graduation Ball

Her international reputation and high level of professionalism are drawn upon to bring out each student's unique talents in the classroom and on the stage.
